About this Event
Hike the most scenic stretch of the Eno River past many rock outcrops and rapids to the stone ruins of the old Holden Mill. This 4 mile hike includes a walk along the river as well as up some long hill climbs through beautiful old hardwood forest. A hiking staff is recommended.
This hike will take approximately two hours (sometimes less, sometimes more). Please feel free to bring water and snacks. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are under your control and on a 6 foot leash.
Directions: Meet at Piper-Cox House off Cole Mill Road. The address is 6101 Cole Mill Rd, Durham, NC 27705. After entering the state park gate take the 2nd right to the parking lot.
