About this Event
From raptors to songbirds, many different birds utilize the mosaic of ecosystems that make up the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW). Join a guided birding walk to learn more about the birds of Southwest Florida and how to identify them. There are over 200 species of birds that call CREW home - whether that be year-round or seasonally. Seasonal birding walks are a great way to experience the changing seasons with our feathered friends. Guided bird walks are intended for all levels of birders.
CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails offers a unique birding opportunity. With the abundance of snags here, you can spot several different woodpecker species. Did you know we have 7 different species within CREW? This trail system is typically the last to dry down after the wet season, offering a concentrated buffet for several kinds of birds like waterfowl, wading birds, and shorebirds.
