Come join your fellow neighbors on Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at 8 a.m. for a guided bird walk tour presented by Palo Verde resident Kendall Kroesen. The starting point for the tour is at the parking lot on the northeast corner of Pima Street and Palo Verde Blvd. During the walk, you will learn about 20-25 varieties of local birds.RSVP at paloverdeneighborhood.org/birdwalk
Kendall worked for Tucson Audubon (now Tucson Bird Alliance) for 15 years and is generously sharing his time and expertise with us. He will talk about the surprising number of birds that can be found in the Palo Verde Neighborhood and point out ways neighbors can make life better for our winged friends. During the walk we'll make a stop at the "owl tree" at the corner of Jones Blvd and Lee St, hosted by neighbors Tom and Barry.
We will walk less than two miles total and the walk will last up to 2 hours. Feel free to bow out earlier if you need to! If you have binoculars, please bring them. If you have more than one pair of binoculars, or a spotting scope, please bring them to help those without binoculars see as many birds as possible.
We recommend sending an RSVP for your spot before February 8th at paloverdeneighborhood.org/birdwalk
