Join us in welcoming Pastor Masami Yamamoto from Grace Crossing Bible Church. Today, Pastor Masami will examine "Gideon's Faith and Ours" from Hebrews 11:32-12:3 and Judges 6-8.
"I am looking forward to our time and Word and fellowship together! My family and I have worshiped with the saintly giants of GCBC for about 24 years. A short bit about what the LORD has done in my life. He brought me to His Son when I was in high school through the faithfulness of a godly teacher, by the name of Jeff. Jeff shared the gospel and took me under his wing to model servant leadership. As I traveled abroad he repeatedly challenged me to see God’s growing Kingdom among the nations. Jeff did this for a couple years, and my passion for seeing Jesus glorified and His workers equipped for the harvest was galvanized. During my years at GCBC, my role in the Church family has changed and grown, but my drive hasn't... Magnify Jesus and prepare His people no matter where you are.
Since Kristen, my wife, and I came to GCBC in late 2000, we have had four awesome children: Sakura, Nowa, Masato and Hiro. Two who are still at home and two who are living in Arizona. Kristen and I met in 1998 at Multnomah University, where we had both gone to study the Bible. We had the same passion of making disciples among the nations propelling them into life with our Savior. I eventually went on to study further at Western Seminary. We are privileged to continue serving our King as I pastor at GCBC," reaching out in our community, the surrounding area and the world for our LORD’s glory!
