Jim Self is a Los Angeles-based tubist and composer known for his extensive work in both studio recordings and live performances. Self is joined by faculty and students for a unique chamber music performance in Gantner Concert Hall. Free and open to the public!Jim Self has performed on over 1500 film soundtracks, including iconic solos in movies like "Jurassic Park", "Wall-E," "Avatar," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Home Alone." He's a regular performer with the Pacific and Pasadena Symphonies, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Opera.
