Friday, September 27, 7:30 p.m., Organ Recital Hall Martin Chalifour, concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performs an unforgettable program featuring Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61, arranged for soloist with string nonet played by string faculty and students. The concerto stands as a pillar of violin literature, and Mr. Chalifour’s exceptional virtuosity is on full display in this wonderful piece.
