Saturday Winter Concert
In their annual Winter Concert series, Guernsey Music Centre students showcase their hard work with an evening of varied and entertaining music.
Guernsey Youth Orchestra - Conductor Tim Wright
Concert Wind Band - Conductor Elizabeth Green
Youth Choir - Conductor Rachel Wright
The Youth Orchestra will perform two of Dvorak’s ‘Slavonic Dances’, Eric Satie’s ‘Gymnopédie No.1’ (arr. Debussy) and ‘Finlandia’ by Jean Sibelius.
The Concert Wind Band will be performing ‘Folk Dances’ by Shostakovich, music from the Disney film Encanto and the theme from Gerry Anderson’s ‘Thunderbirds’.
The Youth Choir performance will include ‘Weep O Mine Eyes’ by John Bennett, ‘The Streets of London’ arr. Arch and ‘The Gospel Train’ arr. L’Estrange.
