About the Special Guests:

Xavier Leahy is a multi-instrumentalist and performer who plays accordion, fiddle, acoustic and electric guitar. As the oldest son of Leahy drummer, Xavier has been immersed in music his entire life. He has toured extensively with Leahy; first as a young boy, and today as a remarkable young musician in his own right. His proficiency on many instruments has brought him both acclaim and attention. Most recently, Canadian Country superstar, Brett Kissel invited Xavier to join him on his cross Canada tour.

Anna Smilek is a multi-instrumentalist and Ottawa Valley Step dancer. While Viola and violin are her main instruments, she also plays piano, mandolin, and guitar. She enjoys playing multiple genres, but enjoys fiddling especially. Outside of the fiddle world Anna has been a member of the MusicFest Canada National Honour Ensemble and has recently earned a Bachelor of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she recently won the 2022 Wilfrid Laurier University Concerto Competition. She also placed in the top ten at the 2023 Canadian Grand Masters' Fiddling Competition.

Mika McCairley-Greenwell is a champion Ottawa Valley stepdancer, fiddler, and accomplished piano player. She has played alongside musicians such as Natalie Macmaster, Shane Cook and Leahy, and is a member of the 2 time Canadian Open Champion stepdance group "UnReel". Together, her sister duo "The McCairley Sisters" have toured and competed across Canada. Mika recently completed her degree in Music Therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University, and hopes to continue research in music and health sciences.
