Garfield Shakespeare Company presents William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night!Join us for Shakespeare's classic tale of love, loss, and foolery under the stars! Feel free to bring a blanket and snack and snag a patch of grass and laugh along as the company brings Shakespeare's wild characters to life.
Twins Viola and Sebastian are shipwrecked in a strange time and place, traveling from Shakespeare's Messaline to today's Illyria. They are separated, each believing the other is dead, and they seek to find their own place in this new confusing world. Sebastian finds Antonio, a fellow traveler from Messaline who is more familiar with the strange world of Illyria. Viola disguises herself as a man to fit in with Orsino's boys' club and winds up helping him attempt to seduce Olivia. GSC uses Shakespeare's text to explore gender, relationships, and grief, with quite a few laughs along the way!
