About :

The Vision: To transform the lives and futures of young people through businesses who act as a force for good.

The Mission: To create purposeful partnerships so that businesses and the community thrive.

Three impactful programmes, Bristol Young Heroes Awards, Bristol Together Championships, Break Free are delivered to engage hard to reach groups, enhance community cohesion, improve social mobility as well as celebrating the incredible achievements of young people who have overcome adversity to achieve great things.

All proceeds will be donated to support the Bristol Together Championships programme.

Reasons to support Bristol Together Championships:

  • Bristol Together Championships is an annual sporting tournament working with Bristol City Community Trust which pulls together primary schools from across the city, representing the diverse communities that make up Bristol and its surrounding areas.
  • The hugely popular programme encourages children to connect and build friendships across the perceived divides through football. It helps community cohesion by getting boys and girls crossing the race, class, geographical and faith boundaries that characterize life in the city.
  • Launched in 2012 and supported by the Mayor of Bristol, Bristol Together Championships pulls together year 5 pupils from Bristol schools from diverse communities to play in an annual football competition. Each school twins with another to form a joint team, mixing children from very different backgrounds.
  • As an additional bonus, 20 children from four of the twinning participating schools will go on a three-day fully funded trip to Bristol’s twinned city of Bordeaux, giving children who are disadvantaged their first trip abroad and on a plane.
  • The goals of Bristol Together Championships are to increase young people’s knowledge, understanding and respect of the different cultures, faiths and ethnicities in the Bristol area and appreciate the commonalities that exist between them.
  • Bristol Together Championships is recognised as a programme that champions equality and diversity and highlights the importance of improving access and participation across the whole city through sport, both on and off the pitch.
  • The programme helps young people to grow in confidence and pride in sharing their own stories and experiences of life and disprove stereotypes. People in Bristol may famously speak 91 different languages, but the universal language of football can bring Bristol’s diverse communities together.
  • Bristol Together Championships is one of three key initiatives run by Community of Purpose – a CIC based in South Bristol that works to transform the lives and futures of young people across Bristol.
  • Community of Purpose believes that everyone can contribute meaningfully to economic and social development if they are given the right support and opportunities.
