Talk/ circle/ group discussion:Performance anxiety, people pleasing and being seen for who you are. Being, showing and expressing your authentic self.
This evening I welcome to a talk and sharing circle/ group discussion between fellow people pleasers, perfectionists, fixers, saviours and doers who feel responsibility for pretty much everything.
Needing to perform well and look good so to feel worthy and good enough. A standard so high that you are still doing, performing and seeking whatever can make you good enough..
Except for when the focus is on yourself and listening to and taking care of your own needs. Or asking for, feeling worthy of and being able to receive and accept support and help from others. Or believing that others want to and are able be there for you. That others can handle you and your feelings.
Omg, aren't you tired of pretending to be something you are not? And doing, saying, not doing and not saying things to impress others, when deep down it's not who you are?
Maybe you burned out?
Lost yourself in a relationship?
Really want to do something, but just don't manage.
Feel responsible that other people feel good.
Sacrifice yourself,
or maybe you don't even know what you want, need and desire, because you always focus on meeting everyone else's wants, needs and desires.
And you are super good at it.
Can read any room and spot what is needed and who feels uncomfortable..
This is the work of your nervous system at play. You do not feel safe/ relaxed/ able to sit down and relax unless everything is perfect and completed, or you are drunk..
People pleasing is the fawn respons, it's a stress response learned in childhood. It kept you safe back then, but now you are an adult with these patterns standing in your way.

Jeg heter Therese Fallentin og brenner for å hjelpe mennesker hjem til seg selv – gjennom kroppen, stemmen og tilstedeværelsen. Jeg skaper rom for mennesker som ønsker å finne tilbake til stemmen og kraften sin – ikke den som skal imponere, men den som kommer innenfra. Uttrykket om du vil. Modig, ufiltrert, trygt og ekte – i møte med deg selv og andre.
Med bakgrunn som fasilitator, coach, prosessleder, podcast vertinne og menneske med egne erfaringer med prestasjon, frykt og selvuttrykk, brenner jeg for å hjelpe andre til å stå tryggere i seg selv.
Jeg tror stemmen vår bærer kraft, sårbarhet og livsglede – og at når vi slipper taket i kontroll og prestasjon, finner vi tilbake til noe ekte. Jeg tror ikke du trenger å prestere for å bli hørt. Du trenger trygghet. Og kanskje en gruppe som holder deg, mens du leker deg frem til stemmen som allerede bor i deg.
I mine workshops skaper jeg rom for å lytte innover, for å uttrykke det som er ekte, og for å kjenne lekenheten, livskraften og friheten som ligger i å være seg selv – med lyd, pust, energi, bevegelse, sanseinntrykk og tilstedeværelse.
