
About this Event
This is an experiential, social music class designed specially for infants/toddlers and their caregivers. Through songs, movement, and play, learn how to nurture your child's musicial, cognitive, and social development, and have fun bonding while doing it! Early music experiences promote:
- Increased fine & gross motor skills
- Brain development
- Cognitive skills like controlling attention and noticing patterns
- Sensory awareness and motor control
- Strengthening balance & coordination
- Emotional regulation
- Social development and interaction
- Teaching patience, sharing & taking turns
- Language development
- Child & caregiver bonding
This class will meet at 1pm on Fridays June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, and THURSDAY July 3 (due to 4th of July holiday). Specific host location to be announced.
First child registration: $100
Additional sibling registration: $50
This class requires at least 4 participants to take place. If registration does not reach the required minimum, your registration fee will be fully refunded.
Naomi Turrigiano is an experienced music educator and mom of 2 from the Central Ohio area. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Miami University and is working on her Master's degree in Music Education (Kodaly Emphasis) from Colorado State University. Naomi has taught private music lessons for 10 years and in public school classrooms for 6 years. She holds her Level 1 Kodaly certification and is also a First Steps In MusicĀ© certified teacher.
