Your second and later pregnancies are a special time. You may feel more confident in your role as a mum and be looking forward to your family growing. You might also be worried about the physical demands of being pregnant with another child to look after and how your toddler is going to cope.During this session we'll chat about how you can prepare your older child for the arrival of your newborn and strategies to introduce and involve them once your baby arrives.
Our sessions involve getting together to participate in a facilitated group chat on a particular topic. After a general welcome and introduction we will have around 15-20 minutes of formal discussion on the chosen topic, followed by informal social time and individual support with a breastfeeding counsellor. For attendees wanting to find out more on the topic, the facilitator can direct them to supporting ABA resources.
Participants are encouraged to share experiences, ask questions, and provide input.
This is a very relaxed meet up – it’s fine if you come late/leave early – we know what it’s like to be operating on baby time! Partners, expectant parents, friends, and children are welcome.
Our catch ups are held in the playgroup room - it's a safe space with plenty of play spaces, toys and books to keep kids of all ages entertained. There’s also great, cheap coffee and meals at the on-site community café.
