Growing up with Grandma - inventing from memory

Join Hamish Whiteley as he reads from his book ‘Growing Up With Grandma’, a collection of stories telling of one year in the life of a nine year old living with his grandparents in 1960. This will be followed by a discussion and Q&A afterwards.
Hamish Whiteley worked as a teacher and lecturer in drama and performing arts, while several of his plays were performed at the Phoenix Theatre in Leicester and at the Edinburgh Festival. A selection of stories from ‘Growing Up With Grandma’ were also broadcast on BBC Radio 4. His Harry Knuckles detective stories were a feature of the Leicester Mercury newspaper for many years.
