This talk will look at the incredible evolutionary story of how humans came to spend quite so much of our time playing around.
About this Event

We spend more of our lives ‘growing up’ than almost any other animal. Join Dr Brenna Hassett to get an anthropologist’s perspective on how our species has invested in each stage of growing up. How do our dangerous pregnancies and births, helpless infants, and slow-growing children compare to our primate relatives? And how did we get this way?

Our free public talks are held each month to ignite discussion and share interesting ideas and knowledge with everyone. Whether you’re a student, professional, or simply a curious person, our lectures are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
