Growing trees in a Time of Climate Change
Adjusting to climate change via site modification techniques
Please join APLD Oregon and senior arboriculture researcher at Bartlett Tree Experts, Tom Smiley, for a presentation on Growing Trees in the Time of Climate Change at the newly re-opened Elk Rock Garden. The beautiful historic home of the Kerr Family will be our venue for Tom’s presentation, with a garden walk to follow. Coffee, tea, rolls and fruit served.
Learn what designers, arborists and contractors can do on landscape sites to help mitigate the reality of climate change stress to woody plants. Our presenter will address the limitations of some urban sites and apply best techniques or planning to foster best outcomes via soil care conditions.
The 1.5 hour presentation will be followed by an optional half hour garden walk. Coffee, tea, and light breakfast snacks will be provided.
One APLD CEU is available for this event.
