this workshop series is for you
GOALs: Deepen and ground the understanding of the Playback Theatre practice through experiencing regular practice and a protected performance with your group. This workshop series is the first step towards forming a community of people who enjoy this practice and each other's company, who are committed to develop and take Playback Theatre to the next level in their lives and also in the North East of UK.
Professional: Develop your skills as a Playback Theatre performer and musician in the areas of the Playback Theatre structure, forms including short, intermediate and long story form, stagecraft including physical expression, improvisation, giving and accepting offers, listening skills, working together, role of music, creating a Playback performance together
Personal: Connecting to your own and other people's feelings, expressing feelings and thoughts in concrete and metaphorical ways while cooperating with others, creating art, witnessing and taking part in personal storytelling, accepting diversity, playing and having fun.
Theoretical: Role of group dynamics, Story of Playback Theatre and its application.
This will be a regular closed group from start to finish. Participants expected to attend at least 80% of the sessions.

10 sessions (22.5 hours), including a performance to an invited, closed audience.

TIMES
Fridays at 5:30 - 7.30 pm plus performance time agreed together closer to the time.
Arrival from 5 pm, departure latest 8 pm.

Full price for those who can afford it: £200
