Discover how simple it is to grow ferns from spores. Review the life cycle of these ancient plants, how to properly collect and dry fertile fronds, and the basic steps for successfully propagating ferns. In this hands-on workshop, you will clean and sow spores into a simple growing system to take home. Visit the ferns in Mt. Cuba’s Trial Garden with the instructor.
This program takes place in-person at Mt. Cuba Center Saturday, September 27, 2025.
About the Instructor:

She obtained a Master of Environmental Horticulture from the University of Washington and studied at the Dunedin Botanic Garden in New Zealand. Her favorite native fern is Lygodium palmatum.
