Develop your professional skills in growing creative practice. Learn about opportunities to build connections and generate revenue within your field of interest. Sessions run over two days at the Bannockburn Library. Please note, this is a two day program being held over a Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm each day, and attendance both days is required.
This program is designed to support creatives to develop relevant skills in growing their artistic practice. Learn skills and knowledge that can assist in generating revenue and building connections in your practice.
These sessions are open to all creatives, including musicians, visual and performing artists, writers and creators of digital content. The topics covered in the program will be developed to provide relevant advice and experiences to support creatives to get started and /or grow their practice. There will be a focus on personal and technical skills to prepare participants to develop their practice and potentially build new sources of revenue.
Facilitators will be familiar with the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship and starting a small business within creative industries.
There are eight topic areas to be covered over a two-day intensive program. Topics include. Setting up your practice, building product positioning, brand and design, the importance of digital technology, building authentic connections, legal/insurance/tax requirements, managing money and channels to market.
