About this Event
Join us for another free tree planting opportunity at the new Growing Healthy Veterans garden on the 11th of May! This planting will support the Growing Healthy Veterans work to provide fresh local food and opportunities for veterans to reconnect with nature. We will not only plant 23 edible species of trees and shrubs but also provide training at the start of the event to help you learn how to properly plant and care for trees yourself. We will also talk about similar food forest projects in the area and how anyone can get involved.
No experience is necessary, and everyone is are welcome! As a volunteer, you will work alongside the CRTI team and other fantastic volunteers to help us dig planting spaces, get the trees in the ground, and mulch them.
There are only a things you need to do prior to the event!:

- Dress for the weather- we will plant rain or shine!
