Visit the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's herb garden at the UMES Research, Extension and Teaching Farm in Princess Anne and participate in seeding and planting activities.
The Field Day caps a four-part webinar class series on Growing and Processing Medicinal Herbs, hosted by UMES Extension. Attendance at the four online classes is a prerequisite to attend the in-person Field Day.
At the Field Day, learn when and how UMES uses ground covers, shade covers, and a greenhouse and irrigation systems. Learn about pest control. This is your chance to ask questions of our herb consultant, Henriette den Ouden.
Lunch will be served. The cost for this event is $15 per person and pre-registration is required.
