About this Event
Horticultural Therapists have known for a long time that plants and gardening have lots of health and wellbeing benefits.
Simply looking at plants makes us feel better, and the physical act of gardening is positively good for us.
Sowing seeds, nurturing seedlings, watering pots and harvesting crops are a gentle distraction from our busy lives.
Such tasks are proven to increase brain activity, lower blood pressure and support our mental health and wellbeing.
Our sessions are open to all and so why not join Louise, on a Thursday afternoon from 1 – 3pm and find yourself thriving alongside the garden in our beautiful community space!
Winter sessions are currently running on the following Thursdays:
January - 23rd and 30th
February - 6th, 13th and 27th
March - 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
April - 3rd and 24th
May – 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd
We have a warm indoor space to ensure we can garden comfortably all year round. We will also be including indoor season activities when the weather is poor.
