About this Event
On 20th April our Saturday session will be opened up to our community just ahead of #GoodToGrow2024 where we invite you to get growing with us and encourage you to share with the community.
Our annual Grow Some Share Some project aims to share young veg plants with as many local primary schools, charities and support groups as possible. MindFood’s target this year is 30 primary schools…but can you help us get up to all 76?! ???
Don’t worry if the seedlings need potting up, we‘ll have a potting station on the day.
We’ll also have a family sowing station so that every child has something to take home.
Plants we’d love you to bring for us to share:
tomato plants (esp yellow or orange cherry toms!)
chilli plants - always super popular!
aubergines
cucumbers
salads
courgettes
squashes
pumpkins
sweetcorn
sugar snap/mangetout peas
spring onions
leeks
runner beans
purple sprouting broccoli
sprouts
companion flowers - calendula, nasturtiums
herbs - esp coriander, parsley and basil
strawberries
