About this Event
Your friends from Bendale Butterflyway and Cliffcrest Butterflyway will show you how to winter sow native seeds, so you can get many low-cost seedlings in the spring. The native plants that come up will support all kinds of wildlife.
At the workshop you'll get free seed packets to grow native plants, plus one small pot that you will fill with free potting soil. Bring your own bag to take it home.
If you're interested, you can also get information on community activities in Scarborough, such as the PollinateTO gardens at Knob Hill Park, the tree plantings and pollinator gardens at Variety Village, as well as the Toronto Nature Stewards activities at Birkdale Ravine and Cedarbrook Park.
Food and drink will be provided.
Registration is required, and attendance is limited.
