G.R.O.W. (Gardening Recreational Opportunity With Friends)GROW runs through late May to September and helps to promote a healthier lifestyle for people with developmental disabilities as they manage a community garden alongside mentors, to learn to grow their own food, make healthier food choices, and enjoy socializing and exercising. Gardeners come to the garden one time a week during the summer months on either Monday or Thursday evening. Our GROW coordinator, Kathryn Dunlap, is at the garden and directs the activities such as planting, weeding, watering, or harvesting. Gardeners are able to take produce home with them. Other learning opportunities are built into the program and the gardeners all come together at the end of summer for a year-end celebration. Join us on May 14th from 6-7:30pm and G.R.O.W. with us!
