About this Event
In continuation of our partnership with the National Museum of Mexican Art and Yollocalli Arts Reach, we’re excited to continue 2024 programming with a 3 mile group run followed by the Jardín de Gárgolas Exibition Opening on Saturday, April 27th at 12 pm.
This exhibit features gag-worthy gargoyles made by the Yollocalli 3D Design class, led by phantom video game designer and sculptor, Tim Nicholson, better know as Secret of Manna.
The concept for this exhibit begain with the idea of a rain water garden and a bird bath feature for our Malinalli Garden. Students began to conceptualize their garden gargoyles in the fall using 3D softwares and design tools. This spring, the program evolved into a fabrication and exhibitions class. In collaboration with ChiLab Studio , youths’ designs were taken from virtual visions to real life statues, pouring hot liquid metal into molds.
This event is free; Capacity is limited- Registration is necessary to attend.
We will provide the 3 mile route in advance which is easy to modify should anyone choose to run more or less.
