Join us for what could the last official Bike Newton group ride of the year. We will start in Newtonville, head out Commonwealth Ave. towards Weston, ending up on the Mass Central Rail Trail (MCRT) going west. We’ll bike to Wayland on the MCRT, turn around and head back to Waltham, eventually getting to the Charles River Trail and then back to Newtonville. To celebrate the end of another great summer biking season (and the start of winter biking!) all riders are invited to come to the Ride Leaders house in Newtonville, in the back yard for some hot cider and snacks.
Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave at 10:00 am, Saturday morning. Dress warmly — it might be cold out. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. 20 miles round-trip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes.
