ALTERNATE DATES IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER ON SCHEDULED DATES: FRI 4/18-SAT 4/19Rider Skill/Bike types: All riders and bikes are welcome to join. We will try and group riders together so the quicker guys are toward the front and the slower people are towards the back, so everyone can safely and comfortably ride their ride. We will stop at any turning intersection and wait for everyone to regroup, so those in the back can just go straight until the whole is caught up and we’ll turn together. I would like to have at least 1 experienced rider bring up the rear of the ride, who is there in case there are any mechanical problems, wrecks, etc, so when they pull up, at a stop we know we have everyone, and they can block the intersection when the group is making a turn so we don’t get separated by cages. Additionally, I would like to exchange cell numbers with that person, so we can stay in touch in the case of a problem, and stop the group. Route does have many turns of varying styles.
Planned Itenerary (un-planned stops may add additional time):
7AM - Meet for breakfast (optional) at Pete’s Café for pre ride breakfast @ 9170 Washington St, Thornton, CO 80229
8:30AM – Meet at 16283 Morrison Rd, Morrison, CO 80465 (Gas station just off C470). Gas up. Pre ride meeting
9:00AM – KSU
1:00PM(ish) – Skyline Dr. loop in Canyon City, CO.
1:30PM (ish) – Royal Gorge Bridge & Stop for Lunch & Gas

We should choose a place for the majority of the group, so I can give them a heads up to expect us! Seems like there is a lot of interest in this ride. Those who choose to do their own thing? So be it!

I have an oversized Ford Transit that can fit 2+ bikes in it in an emergency. It has 1 pitbull mount installed in it. I have ratchet straps as well, etc. We can bring my air compressor, jumper box, etc. I would like 1 person to be able to drive my van (with my gas in it), and we can bring tool set(s), extra gas and fluids, (I don’t know what the gas situation is between Morrison/Royal Gorge, so....wanna keep a few 5 Gal gas cans of '91 just incase someone runs out), personal belongings/backpacks, etc. I also have a Yeti we can ice down for drinks in it, whatever we need.
