About this Event
Our monthly Group Dance Movement Therapy sessions welcome anyone seeking a consistent space and community to pause, reflect, learn, nourish and heal.
Dance Movement Therapy uses the creative and expressive aspects of body movement to support emotional transformation and integration. It has huge potential to improve quality of life - including aspects of emotional functioning, self-expression, confidence, mobility and communication. At the very least, the freedom of moving to music is a great mood booster!
- Release your energy and emotions into movement
- Cultivate sense of wholeness and confidence
- Feel and act differently
- Give your body a recharge
- Enjoy supportive, empathic and fun connections with others
You don't need to know dance to participate! At Movemental, we prefer to think of dance not purely as the art form, but as self-expression.

Why You Should Attend
Mental well-being isn't just about the mind. As minds are housed within bodies, our body movement can shape how we feel and think. By discovering ways of changing how we move; expanding our movement repertoire and learning new techniques, we can shift away from difficult emotions into desired ones.
This session is organised by Movemental: We apply psychological insights behind body movement to catalyse emotional change and enhance mental wellbeing for all. The movement experiences that we design, as well as develop in tandem with individuals are psychology-led, creativity-driven, arts-inspired, and centred on community.
