Welcome to the Group Cuddle—a cozy afternoon of connection, cuddles, and consent! An experiential workshop and social gathering, the Group Cuddle celebrates sharing platonic cuddles and authentic connection in community.

About the Cuddle:

In this guided group session led by Jozelle, you will learn and practice consensual cuddling skills through an alchemy of well-tested consent and cuddle exercises, reflections, and games.

Together, we will practice sharing and receiving personal boundaries with compassion, expressing our body's true desires for connection, and exploring new ways of cuddling within an encouraging environment.

Session Flow:

1:40-2:00 — arrival + connection

Take a moment to transition from the outside world, get cozy, and enjoy connecting with fellow attendees.

2:00-2:45 — opening circle, somatic grounding + community agreements

We begin our aftenoon together by breaking the ice with a round of playful introductions, internal weather reports, and a guided somatic grounding, centering ourselves in our body and the warm Tea House supporting our Cuddle. Together, we'll explore and agree upon the values and commitments that hold our community in safety and respect.

2:45-4:00 — consensual cuddling exercises, reflections + games

Introducing touch into our flow, we'll engage in a series of guided exercises, reflections and games that invite you to feel into your body's true desires for connection. With supportive cuddle teammates, you'll explore the art of saying "yes" and "no" with compassion, practice expressing requests for yummy platonic touch, and witness cuddle demonstrations offering new and fun ways to connect with one another.

4:00-4:40 — create your own cuddle adventure in community

With calm bliss, freely immerse yourself in the Group Cuddle. Create your own cuddle adventure using the skills you've learned from the exercises, reflections, and games. Soak in the experience of getting your needs met with joy and ease. Revel in the community of brave souls you're sharing time and space with.

4:40-5:00 — closing circle

We'll close our afternoon together with a reflective sharing circle, offering time to integrate your experiences and carry the warmth of the community with you.

Step into a space where your heart opens and your spirit receives nourishment. Meet us here where we celebrate the playfulness of touch.. the beauty of boundaries.. the art of cuddling.. and the joy of connection in an explicitly non-sexual, non-romantic yet affectionate container.

While touch is warmly welcomed, it is not required to participate. This is a space that honors your needs, comfort, and pleasure. You’ll find areas to process, chill alone, stim, witness, and take breaks as needed. There will also be opportunities for platonic spoon trains, bear hugs, quiet moments of reading or journaling, and so much more ~ an invitation to explore connection in whatever way feels pleasurable for you.

To honor this space, we ask that everyone arrives with a clear mind and heart, in a state of sobriety and sensitivity that allows for full awareness of your own and others’ boundaries. This is a unique opportunity to slow down, tune in, and be fully present—with yourself and others.

About the Facilitator:

Founder of Consensual Cuddles, Jozelle Wong Yu, M.A. (she/they) is a Communication Studies Professor turned Professional Cuddler, Consent Educator, and Communications Specialist. She delights in facilitating playful experiences where anyone, especially the global majority’s queers, can reconnect with their radical honesty and be met with tenderness and warmth.
