About this Event
I've taught thousands of dogs in group classes and there are many cases where it's simply the best format for the dog and the client. Guess what... it can also be a huge benefit for YOU the dog trainer. Group classes are the best way to make more money in less time.
Often times when I get trainers approaching me for help with their group classes I hear several of the same problems arising: What do I do with the problem dogs? How do I make group classes more fun, I'm running out of ideas? How do I help people do make up work if they miss a class? How do I make good money off group classes? We'll be answering these questions and more!
What's included:
- A comprehensive list of over thirty-five group class activities, games, and drills you can do to help your clients achieve their obedience and behavioral goals, and also HAVE FUN!
- Lunch both days.
- Two live viewings of our group classes.
- LOTS of hands on practice.
- A guide to setting up pricing and how to structure your classes.
- How to establish group classes without a training facility.
- Establishing a safe environment for training.
- AND So much more!
Working Spot VS Audit Spot: Attendees are encouraged to bring a dog that has at least a basic obedience foundation (loose leash walking skills, sit, place, stay, and recall on leash.) Even though this event is not going to focus on training the dogs in attendance we firmly believe that this type of subject is best taught with a hands on approach so the dog that you bring will be used for demonstration purposes during many of the group class exercises. All attendees will be considered working spots whether you bring a dog or not, as everyone will get a chance for some hands on practice. Dogs will be crated when not being worked with so should have decent crate manners. ***Bring your own crate*** We may have a few extra crates to loan but this will be on a first come first serve basis.
And even though the workshop gets over Saturday afternoon, don't be in a hurry to leave. We'll be having a dinner out at the Top Dog Texas Ranch Saturday night that you won't wanna miss. We'll be sitting around the fire swapping dog stories with some other great North Texas Trainers.
Accommodations: We are very fortunate to be just down the road from a cluster of hotels (some dog friendly some not). If you are interested in sharing a room with another participant please let us know and we’ll put out an email to see if anyone is interested.
