Group Bike Ride around Strelley Woods for Travel Well

Join us for a leisurely women's 12mile bike ride exploring cycle paths, wide trails and canals.

We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back! One of us will lead, and another will stay at the back so we stick together as a group.

Meet us at 10am at Harvey Hadden Sports Centre,Wigman Rd, Nottingham NG8 4PB - just on the grass verge by the car entrance. If you have to come by car, you should be able to park at the sports centre.

We will bring some snacks for everyone to enjoy at a midride snack point but please bring water and any extra refreshemnts you might need to fuel your ride. We'll then finish at Mulberry Tree Cafe if you'd like to stop for a drink afterwards.

You'll be in safe hands, between us we're qualified ride leaders and professional mechanics who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.

You won't need anything fancy, just a bike that rides and comfortable weather-appropriate clothing and some enthusiasm for cycling!

This session is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. It is part of our TravelWell project in partnership with Nottingham City Council and funded by Active Travel England. All attendees will need to complete a registration survey for our funders, you can save time and complete it here before the ride or you can complete it on one of our devices after the ride.
