Every day, people in Acadiana face challenges meeting their most basic needs — food, housing, healthcare, transportation, childcare, and more. And every day, organizations are on the front lines, offering support, building pathways, and doing the hard work of change.Groundwork is a new monthly gathering designed to bring together everyone working to support our neighbors living with limited income or facing crisis — nonprofits, government programs, mutual aid groups, faith-based efforts, and small volunteer teams.
Each month, we'll focus on a different topic area — from food access and maternal health to housing stability, education, transportation, and beyond. Together, we’ll:
✅ Share what programs, resources, or supports being offered right now
✅ Identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities, and build a comprehensive resource map
✅ Build better coordination and cross-referrals
✅ Learn from one another and spark collaborative action
Whether your organization is large or small, well-established or grassroots, your voice and work are critical to the conversation.
This event is free, however registration is required. Many thanks to our project partners, and to the Downtown Convention Center for hosting.
