About Boot: Roland “Boot” Boutwell, a freelance itinerant naturalist, has been leading nature walks for The Friends of the Fells for nearly 25 years. About the Walk: Groundhog day, which marks the middle of winter, is almost here. Come enjoy a winter walk through lovely Virginia Wood in Stoneham. We’ll talk a little about Groundhog Day and the Groundhog, but the walk will focus on plant ID in winter as well as fun and interesting natural history. Perhaps we’ll find out who Virginia was.
Meet in the driveway of #1 Woodland Rd at the intersection of Woodland Rd and Pond St in Stoneham.
Steady rain or heavy snow cancels.
