Have you heard of climate-anxiety? According to the APA, it's the "fear, anger...powerlessness, and exhaustion" we experience in response to witnessing the impacts of climate change. One of the most effective ways to combat climate fears is by regulating our nervous systems through yoga and mindfulness. These practices also help us channel nervous energy into action, so that we have the strength and stamina to stay engaged in climate activism.Join Katie Beane-Lewis (RYT-500hr, YACAP), ReVision Energy's Director of JEDI & Belonging for a 90-minute, outdoor slow-flow class at SELT meant to ground hearts and minds, nurture weary spirits, and inspire climate action. Come together to feel more in tune with your body, your community, and the environment around you by feeling the grass under your feet, the sun on your skin, and hope in your heart.
Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat, and any props you would like to use (e.g., block or strap). This is an accessible, all-levels class; ALL are welcome!
