An ace fighter pilot returns to service after giving birth, only to find the war⏤and her role in it⏤has changed. She is grounded, piloting drones from a trailer, struggling to balance her new life as soldier by day and mother by night.

The FFTA Mini-Grant Community Event Performance (11/13) will be followed by an in-depth conversation with veterans Cassie Boblitt and Debbie Sawyer. Together we'll explore the play's themes through the lens of motherhood, the female veteran perspective, the intersection of art and activism, and discover how we can support the veterans and active duty service members living in our communities.

Production History:
Grounded was first produced in a rolling world premiere by SF Playhouse (California), Borderlands Theatre (Arizona), and Unicorn Theatre (Missouri) as part of the National New Play Network's Continued Life Program.
The UK premiere of Grounded was produced by the Gate Theatre of London at the Traverse Theatre in Scotland in August of 2013, under the direction of Christopher Haydon.
New York Premiere of Grounded was produced by Page 73 Productions (Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, Executive Directors; Michael Walkup, Associate Director).
