Join us for our September Lunch and Learn as we hear from Candy McGuyre, director, coporate marketing, Baptist Health Care, on communications planning for a large project.

Candy McGuyre serves as the director of marketing for Baptist Health Care. She is responsible for leading communications, marketing and public relations efforts for the organization that includes three hospitals, four medical parks, a provider network and the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. During her 24-year tenure at the area’s only locally governed, not-for-profit health system, she also has served as public relations specialist, region marketing manager and foundation director of development. As public relations counsel for the organization, Candy and team work directly with senior leadership during crisis situations. Recent events include the NAS Pensacola shooting and years’ long COVID-19 response.

Candy leads a team of 14 marketing professionals. In her current role as director, Candy places great importance on creating an environment in which talented individuals have the opportunity to grow, thrive, collaborate and to know their skills and input are valued and respected. Setting the tone for a healthy workplace in demanding the field of health care public relations is essential to elevating work that contributes to Baptist Health Care’s Mission of helping people throughout life’s journey. The top project for the team now is communications and preparations for the new Baptist Health Care campus that opens in fall 2023.

Candy lives in north Milton with her husband James. The couple of 35 years has two daughters, Haley and Megan.
