Ground Work

Room2 is celebrated as the world’s first whole-life net zero hometel, with sustainability integrated across architecture, interior design, waste systems, energy use, and community engagement. From mycelium lampshades and fishing net carpets to refillable toiletries and on-site beehives, Room2 walks the talk.

Promise O’nali is a Nigerian-born, Northern Ireland-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, mixed media, installation, music, and performance. His practice is rooted in cultural storytelling, environmental advocacy, and community engagement.

A sustainability-themed painting workshop using repurposed coffee grounds from Room2 as a creative medium.
