Since 2005, Sub League has been offering its original round-robin tournaments to the Northwest Jiu Jitsu community. Sub League tournaments offer both Gi and No-Gi competition to competitors ages 5 and older.Round Robin Bracketing: In smaller divisions, all athletes will compete against one another. In larger divisions, athletes will have up to four matches each; the top four will finishers will qualify and move on to a finals bracket. This format, as opposed to an elimination tournament (where competitors are eliminated at a set number of losses), typically allows for more matches for each athlete.
Submission Focus: Due to popular demand, Ground Warrior will be a pointed Jiu Jitsu tournament where matches are decided by submission, highest score, or referee stoppage. In the case of a tie within the round-robin scoring, wins by submission will carry more weight than wins by points or referee decision.
