Na wekenlange geheimzinnigheid is het nieuws dit weekend naar buiten gebracht. Niemand minder dan Ferry Corsten gaat in de Rotterdamse Maassilo een bijzonder avontuur aan. Onder de concept titel “What The F?!?!” zal de Rotterdamse wereldster op vrijdagavond 3 mei een in Nederland nog niet eerder vertoonde ‘Open to Close’ ten gehore brengen die werkelijk alle zintuigen zal doen prikkelen.
Een audiovisuele liveshow waarin de klassieke Ferry - naar eigen zeggen - zijn toekomstige zelf ontmoet. Door naast zijn reguliere alias ook Gouryella en System F mee te nemen belooft dit de meest unieke en veelzijdige ‘extented set’ te worden uit zijn imposante carrière.
Honderden blind tickets werden al verkocht zonder de naam ook maar kenbaar te maken. Het vertrouwen in de events van Grotesque is al jaren groot onder de bezoekers en met de bekendmaking van Ferry Corsten en zijn unieke concept zal het ongetwijfeld hard gaan met het resterende deel van de tickets.
Muzikale pionier van het eerste uur
De Rotterdamse Ferry behoeft wat de organisatie betreft geen enkele introductie meer. Slechts een aantal Nederlandse artiesten weten zich aan de top te begeven, slechts enkelen daarvan weten zichzelf steeds opnieuw uit te vinden en bovenaan die pyramide te stabiliseren. Daar is Ferry er onbetwist één van.

,,Dit voelt als een absoluut hoogtepunt van mijn werk. Alle producties onder de loep, vanuit een futuristische benadering heroverwogen en geremixt. In de komende maanden zullen er verschillende delen van dit epische verhaal naar buiten komen, met als klap op de vuurpijl; een ‘Open to Close’ in mijn eigen stad Rotterdam!
,,Het wordt een reis door mijn geluid in al zijn diversiteit. - En dat oeuvre kent men over de hele wereld - ,,Het klinkt grappig”, vervolgt Ferry zijn verhaal. ,,Ik raakte echt een beetje betoverd door de diversiteit van mijn muziek. Van house, tot progressief en van trance tot de meer techy producties. Sommigen daarvan lagen alleen maar stof te happen en hebben de oren van mijn fans nooit bereikt. Zelfs ik was een flink deel simpelweg vergeten, maar dat zal na 3 mei wel anders zijn!”
Grotesque presents ‘What the F!’ zal dus op vrijdag 3 mei plaatsvinden in de Rotterdamse Maassilo. Met live-acts, tracks van Ferry zijn vele alter ego’s, sommige zoals eerder vermeld in nieuwe, futuristische versies. Uiteraard zal de licht- en lasershow een top-notch productie betreffen, die je mag verwachten bij een uniek concert als deze.

Grotesque presents 'What The F' - Ferry Corsten in Concert
Finally, after several weeks of secrecy, the news was released this weekend. None other than Ferry Corsten is embarking on a special adventure in Rotterdam's popular club venue Maassilo. On Friday May 3rd, the Dutch world class artist will perform his relatively new concept ‘What The F’ in a spectacular Open to Close. A 6-hrs showcase that will truly stimulate all your senses!
An audiovisual live show in which the classic Ferry – according to his own words - meets his future self. By also including Gouryella and System F in addition to his regular alias, this promises to be the most unique and versatile 'extended set' of his impressive career.
Hundreds of blind tickets have already been sold without even disclosing the name. Confidence in Grotesque events has been high among many worldwide party minded people and with the announcement of Ferry Corsten and his unique concept, the remainder of the tickets will undoubtedly sell quickly.
A world class pioneer in music
As far as the organization is concerned, the Rotterdam-based artist no longer needs any introduction. Only dozens of Dutch artists manage to reach the top, only a few of them manage to reinvent and stabilize themselves at the top of the pyramid. Ferry is undisputedly one of them.

“This feels like an absolute highlight of my work. Lots of my older productions examined, reconsidered from a futuristic approach and ultimately remixed. Over the coming months, several parts of this epic story will be released, with my showcase in Rotterdam being the icing on the cake! An OTC in my beloved hometown Rotterdam!”

From house, to progressive and from trance to techier productions. Some of them just gathered dust and never reached the ears of my fans. Even I had simply forgotten a large part of it, but that will be different after May 3rd!”
Grotesque presents What the F! Ferry Corsten in Concert will take place in the main hall of Rotterdam's Maassilo. Alongside Ferry, this show will include several live acts from vocalists, but also tracks from Ferry’s alter egos, some as previously mentioned in new, futuristic versions. Naturally, light and laser visuals will top-off a fantastic and memorable show, that you don’t want to miss!
