Following up on the sold out event in 2024, Groovebox #2 promises to deliver another solid night of live electronic sets by four consummate performers:Echolurch’s live set is centred around his drum machine and synthesizer; his style is dark, brooding, and sophisticated, with electronic sensibilities not often presented in the scene. G.Roy brings a set based on live remixing. After much study and writing since the last Groovebox, expect to see a new set that brings his signature soulful style and newly-minted bumping house music grooves. (Gear used: Ableton Live, Akai APC40)
Snug is the newcomer to Groovebox, but not to live techno sets, having shared the stage with legends like Mark EG, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, and Misstress Barbara. With one of the finest writing styles and discographies in Nova Scotia, his bass-heavy techno will bring the audience on an aural journey, at once deep, eclectic, and rhythmically captivating. Our closing act, Jadey & Bootkicker, will be pulling off an intense, live breakbeat and jungle set. Jadey is quickly becoming renowned in the scene, having played events such as Vibrancy Festival and Body Language, and is inviting his talented friend, Bootkicker, to the booth to tear things up!
