We’re excited to announce that Steppin’ UP and Sport England are teaming up to bring free, inclusive dance workshops to home-educated children aged 4–16 in Fareham, Gosport, and Southampton!
These fun and welcoming sessions are specially designed for home-educated families — including children with additional needs or SEND. Our experienced teachers and support assistants create a safe, supportive space where every child can move, express, and thrive through dance.
What to Expect:
- Fun, engaging dance and movement activities relatable to classic storybooks
- Small, supportive class sizes
- Experienced SEND-trained teachers and assistants
- A focus on confidence, creativity, and wellbeing
- A welcoming environment for all abilities
Why Join?
Many home-educating families find it hard to access regular classes due to cost or accessibility. Thanks to Sport England’s support, we’re able to offer these sessions completely free to help every child enjoy the benefits of movement and connection.
What Makes These Sessions Special:
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Hampshire Libraries, bringing an exciting educational twist to our classes! Each session will link some of our dance and movement activities to characters, stories, and narratives from well-loved children’s books — helping children explore creativity, imagination, and expression through both movement and storytelling.
After working closely with Hampshire Libraries these past couple of years, we’re proud to have their enthusiastic support for our inclusive approach and delivery. Together, we believe this is the perfect direction — combining education, movement, and imagination in one joyful experience.
