Grooming Greatness Excursion #1 of 2025- The Historic Magnolia House
Welcome to an exciting adventure at the **Historic Magnolia House**! Join us for a fun-filled day of education, enrichment & exposure to culture and the arts. Your youth (13-16yrs old) will travel with us out of the city via a sprinter bus to Greensboro, NC. They will learn about the historic "Green Book for Black Travelers" and why the book existed. They will enjoy the artwork and exhibitions and a curated tour of the home and learn more about famous individuals who stayed at the home during travels from the North to the South during Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Era.
They will enjoy the iconic Magnolia House signature "shoebox lunch" and will then travel back home to Charlotte via sprinter.
This trip will be chaperoned and since we will only take 10 youth along with 5 adult chaperones, it is required that those who would like to attend submit a form which will include an explaination as to why they feel they should be included as an excursionist for this experience. This form will be sent upon registration.
