Grit City Groove is T-Town Swing's Performance Team! We are holding auditions on May 8th from 8-9:30pm at Avelon Ballroom (2315 6th Ave, Tacoma). Auditions are open to anyone! This trimester, we will be working on a high-energy partnered Lindy Hop routine.
The format will feel a bit like a free dance workshop. You'll be learning a bit of Lindy Hop choreography alongside the current team members and other auditioners; applicants will be selected based on skill level, balance of follows/leads, team needs, and schedule availability. Auditioning as a partnership is highly recommended. Depending on the ratio of follows to leads, dancers without a partner may still be considered for the team.
To audition, please fill out the Google form (https://forms.gle/QFnS9cizCnwC6fBB7), and arrive a few minutes early to make sure we can get started right on time.
Team meets every Wed from 8:00-9:30 at Avelon Ballroom, and performance dates are TBD.
Dues are $120/month, and some scholarship funds are available if that is a hardship for you—inquire at [email protected]
