About Lydia Duquette, LMSW:
Lydia is a grief specialist who provides individual counseling and group support for those experiencing bereavement after a death, as well as non-death losses such as divorce, identity shifts, and life transitions. Lydia is a certified Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) advocate, with a background in academic research on loss (Griefhouse: An Exploration of Grief, Space, and The Body). Lydia’s work explores how social systems shape our experience of loss, challenging the idea that grief is confined to certain spaces or timelines. She centers grief as an embodied practice, recognizing the deep interconnection between the physical and emotional aspects of loss. By considering historical, personal, and cultural contexts, Lydia helps individuals integrate their grief and navigate identity after loss.
