NEW Event - Grief RetreatSunday 4th August
10.30am - 2.30pm
This Retreat is being held at
Yellow Rock Sanctuary
6 Tapny Road Lislea, co.armagh which is a peaceful, quiet space to honour yourself and your grief.
Previously this event was 3 evenings over 3 weeks and since visiting Yellow Rock Sanctuary I feel this is a perfect environment for holding this workshop.
Grief is stored in our bodies and can cause illness, depression, addiction or anxiety. We don't often know we have it suppressed deep down, until it erupts, out of nowhere, months or years later. Maybe we have forgotten what it is to feel lightness and joy and need a helping hand.
Grief is what happens to us in response to loss. That loss can be, loss of loved one – spouse, partner, family member, loss of an unborn child, loss of a loved one still living (terminal diagnosis, Alzheimer/dementia), Loss of a friend,, expected or unexpected,
Purpose of Retreat
To provide support in a safe comfortable environment to talk about grief (if you wish to). To grieve the loss of what we were attached to, i.e the life we had, the change/impact of loss to our lives, the of a future.
My aim is to provide an understanding of how to be with grief, how it impacts and changes us, to move forward and begin to live life again with space for grief and joy.
Retreat will involve:-
• Understanding Grief
• Living with Grief
• Holding the space for Grief
• Meditation and Sound Healing
Please be aware that the content and group discussions you may feel resistance, may be triggering. Becoming upset can be natural and will be supported in the sessions.
Retreat is £65 includes light lunch & refreshments.
