About this Event

Bhakta Derek, orginally from Dublin, was working on his PhD in chemistry in 1993 when his life took a turn and he met a powerful and saintly monk. This monk oozed peace and serenity, and Derek and 25 other young people left what they were doing to follow him around Ireland, the UK, Africa and India. This monk was to pass away 8 years later at the age of 49. Derek also has experience of his sister passing onto the next world.

Using wisdom from ancient Veda and Yoga texts - the texts which are the philosophical backbone of what were later referred to as Buddhism and Hinduism - Derek will attempt to give hope and inspiritation to all of us dealing with loss. People also experience loss when a relationship ends. This event also includes meditation with gentle and calming mantra chants.
