"Grief offers a wild alchemy that transmutes suffering into fertile ground." ~ Francis WellerIt’s the holiday season when celebratory gatherings with friends and family are frequent. This can give rise to grief. It’s as natural as giving thanks or offering a gift to those we love. Instead of avoiding it or packaging it up in a box, we can choose to tend to it with self-care, compassion, and support. We embrace it together in a transformative way.
You are invited to join us for a post-Thanksgiving session of grief composting and Sound healing in the yurt in the woods. Surrounded by the beauty and love of the forest and natural elements.
What is Grief Composting?
Just like we compost our organic scraps to enrichen the soil and to grow beautiful bountiful things, we can compost our grief or challenging circumstances to grow and to nourish ourselves from within. We can use ‘the unbypassed waste’ and turn it into new life force energy for our next becoming.
How do we do it?
We intentionally release the heaviness of our struggle through mind, body, and soul by connecting to the heart through creativity, expression, and meaning making. With supportive guidance, we will lean into our own stories to release the old and aspire to the new by rising to meet the effort, the choice, and the change that is required of us to heal our own pain. This promotes emotional liberation and wellness in our beings.
In the first half, you will have the opportunity to:
- Co-create a living altar and connect in sacred circle
- Unify mind and body through guided somatic exercises using breath, movement, and sound
- Nurture release through Bowl Breaking and Burden Burning
- Shape Meaningful intentions moving forward
In the second half of our time together, You will soak in relaxing vibrations for some sound healing with Adam. There will be a combination of Tibetan and crystal bowls, drums, percussion instruments, chanting, bells, and more. Adam will guide you toward your own vibrational experience through sound along with providing you with the space to enhance your own restoration and realignment for the benefit of yourself and the greater good of the collective.
