Many of us are moving beneath a quiet, heavy tenderness right now, a shared cloak of grief that is personal, ancestral, seasonal, and collective. In the deep winter, grief often rises not as something broken or wrong, but as wisdom, a voice of the soul that slows us, softens us, and draws us back to what truly matters. This ceremonial day is an invitation to meet grief as a teacher. Through gentle movement and intuitive dance, sounding, ritual, and ceremony, we will honour grief as a sacred intelligence that carries memory, love, and truth.
Held on Imbolc Eve, as we enter what the Celts called the Belly of the Mother, this threshold invites stillness and gestation. It is a time for tending what has been lost, what is ending, and what is quietly forming beneath the surface. Here, grief is held with reverence, allowing its teachings to root deeply before the returning light.
This offering is for those who feel the call to sit with grief as sacred, and to let it speak in its own time, in the deep heart of winter.
