About this Event
To mark the 7 year anniversary of Grenfell, the residents of A House for Artists is hosting a series of events to commemorate those lost and calling for truth justice and change - including this creative heart-making workshop with guest facilitator, Leearna Oliffe.
“It's been 7 years with no justice, no arrests, no prosecutions, no J*il time, and no legislative changes to ensure another Grenfell never happens again. Whilst our community, the bereaved and survivors, continue to grieve the losses of 72 innocent souls the corporates and government and council leaders responsible for their deaths are busy deflecting from their guilt and ensuring our focus is elsewhere.
But we are resilient in North Kensington, this is not the only long-term battle that we've faced and we will not give up until full justice is delivered and every person today still living in dangerous homes, are protected.
One of our methods of recovery, is art. And today you will have the opportunity to partaking in taster art sessions, making tile hearts you can take away with you and helping to make willow green hearts, our symbol of unity.” Leearna Oliffe
